What a start Big Tymerz!!!!(thats my team name)
“TKM express”(opponents)..Well it was really express pace not from TKM express but from bats of Amit Verma who top scored with 46 hitting numerous sixes(frankly wanted to count but lost count after few sixes)
Great batting and well supported by left handed Ajith who planned innings well and guided the batting.
Its always a great feeling when many things work as per plan and many more work better than planned J
Big Tymerz lost the toss and TKM express chose to field.
In entered the opening pair of Arthi and Deepa.
They would always count amongst the best students of the game. They were coached to stay on wickets and they did just that .
Opposing bowlers gifted away runs through wides.
Arthi and Deepa ensured a steady start is given to the team by collecting 8 runs in 2 overs(run rate of 4 ..good steady beginning)
Then walks in Amit Verma and Karthik.
Karthik got out to a beauty of a delivery from the opposing team captain.
Then walks in Ajith the left handed batsman to disrupt the bowlers rhythm and take advantage of the shorter leg side boundary..
These 2 continued to play steady till 5 overs.
End of Over 5, team was at score of 23.
Ajith and Amit then decide to unleash. Amit took the charge and hit massive sixes while Ajith ensured other end stayed stable and kept picking valuable runs.
Ajith got out in last over of the match and then it was time to swing bat by whoever walks in.
Abdul got out trying for a swing in an attempt to reach century mark for the team.
Amit also got out in last over for a well made 46.
Bruce and Sunil were the pair when last ball was being bowled and everyone would remember Sunil’s running or rather sprinting!!!
They almost converted a single into a 4..You really had to be on the ground to believe it!!!!They completed 3 and ended the team total at 95.
Highest so far in MPL2.
Then started the bowling attack of Big Tymerz.
Arthi started with few wides then she got her rhythm and got both openers out in very first over.
Great bowling by Arthi.
Then for the boys, Baish opened the bowling attack and ensured TKM express doesn’t start off with a flier and kept scoring rate low.
Then followed Karthik who bowled an excellent line and put pressure on batsman to take runs which were nonexistent to get out of a throw from Baish to keeper Bruce who did a great job at collecting and uprooting the stumps.
Pressure kept mounting on TKM express who didn’t get any loose balls of the next bowler Ajith as well.
When the express team thought they should really start now, they didn’t realize the express bowler of the team Sunil was coming with different intentions and bowled an excellent pace bowling to which TKM express had no clue.
End of 6 overs , it was almost clear that TKM express was left with no steam..seemed like an express stuck at a signal for ever!!!
The bowlers finished off well their quota of overs and Big Tymerz won by atleast 35 runs!!!!
The match saw some excellent diving from Bruce, good sharp running on the field by Sunil, good well judged catch by Souvik, good stops by Abdul, Ajith, Karthik, Abhinav, Shalabh.
Overall all round performance and a great victory to start the tournament…
Keep the flow going guys J…
Well it would be grave injustice if I don’t mention the awesome support we received from so many Cisco folks…
Ashwath, Nagesh, Nishith, Raghu, Amitava, Prashant, Srinivasan, Vishal, Sanyam, Anupam to name a few…
Thanks srini for your valuable prematch inputs as well J
One great take away from the match was every team member was thinking on the field which helped quick dynamic field changes and they proved really effective.

What do you want !?!
'Wants' and 'needs' arguably are factors that makes the world the way it is now and dictates on things to follow!!
"What do you want" is a question you would come across everywhere sometimes in explicit terms and sometimes implicit.
When posed with this question, you would probably have list of things to speak out.
If from the list, if the question is given a twist and instead asked as
"Is this really want you want", I think response would be a thoughtful stare.
This is because this question now tries to stir up your conscience and shake it up a little and get the true answer on what you really WANT.
Well, if this sounds complicated, let me give you an example:
(One problem with IT folks is our examples also revolve around IT.Still let me continue)
As a project manager, I often have my team-mates expressing their desire and "want" to go on a overseas trip on official assignment(in IT lingo..the Onsite opportunity)
While going Onsite appears to be the want, the real want may vary from person to person. This variation depends on multiple factors some including, environment of growing up, socio-cultural and economic factors, ambitions and goals they have for themselves to name a few.
So, for the same want of Onsite, some may want to earn more money(onsite pay seems to be on higher side than offshore salaries), some may want to go just for the fun of having a different atmosphere, seeing new places. Some may want for different kind of exposure, experience, some may want to go because of peer pressure while some purely because thats the way its supposed to be!!
So, assume a person wants to go onsite to earn quick money, and wants to go onsite, ask him/her "if going onsite is really what he/she wants in life"?(the answer now may vary from being yes to a 'thought' to probably any other variation like the exact need of going onsite that is to earn money )
Well after the long example, let me assume am able to somewhat convey what am trying to say.
Every "want" has multiple flavours to it and what one really wants is what drives people.
Thats the reason after some "wants" are met, humans crave for other "wants" just because "That was not really what they wanted"!!
Its very important for every person to know and realise on what they really want and work towards it. This would ensure the energies are channelised in right direction and we know when to celebrate meeting of some wants (which could be treated as some milestones in achieving the goal) and dont get really upset of not getting some irrelevant 'wants' met.
So, think what you REALLY want and not just what you want. Then WORK Towards it!!!!
Well, it should be obvious that what you really want are few items and not a long laundary list of wants!!

Recycle Bin: Heights of Tolerance and forgiving nature
Ever wondered how many times you may have deleted some file from the PC and then realised it was a mistake and recovered it back "As-Is" from the recycle bin.
Ever wondered what chaos and panic would set in had the recycle bin not allowed you to recover the file completely but allows only to recover partly and that too in a form that would be beyond your understanding to find the missing piece!!
If this has made you think, let me take you to life of humans now..
In our daily life, we keep meeting new people or same people again and again.
We have many interpersonal conversations and gestures that leave a lasting impression on the person with whom we communicate.
Humans display a wide variety of emotions and connect with different people with varying levels of emotional vibrations.
Let me just touch upon one emotion: Anger
When we are angry, we tend to let our words speak sharper than action of swords.
In that emotional state, seldom does wisdom prevail and we may say things which we never wanted to.
Once it cools off, we would probably apologise and get on with business.
Would the person who was at receiving end of your ire be forgiving and tolerant and just move on.
Maybe and Maybe not.
However great a person maybe , somewhere those sharp words would lurk around within the soul unknowingly.
With multiple transactions/conversations, these little lurking things can assume monstrous proportions and change the relationship for ever.
Now consider our good friend Recycle Bin again.
Whatever you dump on it, if you want to take it back, recycle bin allows you to and wipes off everything from its memory. It doesnt want to remember any bad past.
It keeps continuing his good gesture day in and day out. It does all this to preserve the relationship you have with recycle bin.
And the so called "humans" keep exploiting the good natured tolerant and forgiving Recycle Bin.
Think about it!!!

Whats in a name?
Thought of posting my first blog as an extension of About Me..
My name has always fascinated me and to whoever I get to introduce myself.
Ok let me first remove some mystery of my name.
To begin with, I dont think 'Baish' really means anything. If it does, its mere coincidence. My parents thought of being innvoative with my name. My name is combination of my parents names.
My fathers name is Balakrishnan and mothers name is Eashwary. So 'Ba' taken from fathers name and 'eash' taken from mothers name made it 'baeash' which they generally altered slightly to make it 'baish'.
Looking back I say probably they knew I would be associated with sql/plsql (oracle)technologies and so they did a substring of the two names and then a concatenation :)
Interesting? Well atleast have been in love with this name since people tend to remember my name more than the common names.
Well, my friends always found it easier to search me on orkut and hunt me down ...in fact to search some common friends..I used to become transit point for most searches so that they crawl through my friends list to hunt down more friends :)
I felt my name is simple to pronounce...but well I couldnt imagine this innocuous looking 5 letter word can get me so many different varieties of pronounciation..its been real fun till now.
With my somewhat different unique name I could get attention of people helping people to remember me and now I sincerely hope my work and personal relations with people make me more memorable in minds of people
